Intra club leagues
As well as organised roll ups on Tuesday and Thursday mornings together with Wednesday evenings, the club thrives on the number of intra club leagues it runs, offering bowlers to play different formats of the game and develop their game.
You can see a summary of the leagues available here.
If you are interested in playing in any of them, you can add your name to a sheet on the club’s notice board.
The club also plays many fixtures against other bowls clubs and you can read more below. You can see here all our fixtures for the 2024/5 season.
Friendly fixtures
The club has a number of midweek and weekend friendly fixtures both home and away against other clubs.
These games are ideal for bowlers looking to progress their game or enjoy a social game of bowls. Friendly fixtures are open to all bowlers in the club, with a small number of women only games.
These games typically involve tea and cakes or a meal after the game to complete the game.
If you are interested in playing in these games just add your name to the availability sheets on the notice board.
Inter club competitions
The club enter teams into the following competitive leagues typically played at weekends:
Men - Bramley Bowl & Wessex League
Women - Riversmeet
Chawton Park also enter teams into a number of National Competitions;
Men - Denny Cup & Over 60 Two Rinks
Women - Yetton Trophy
Mixed - Top Club & Egham Trophy
County & national competitions
Individuals and teams from the club can feature in both County and National competitions.
Entry into County competitions is achieved by reaching the final of Club Competitions for Men. Women can enter direct into County competitions.
Entry into National competitions is made direct in March in advance of the winter season.
There are also opportunities for individuals to represent Hampshire in competitive and friendly fixtures throughout the Winter.
